Three positive effects of a clean and clutter-free lifestyle

You may find it hard to believe, but keeping your home clean and clutter-free has positive effects on your overall well-being, and science can prove it.

A study in Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin found that women who describe their home as ‘cluttered’ or full of ‘unfinished projects’ experience higher levels of the stress hormone cortisol. These women tend to feel more depressed and fatigued over the course of the day. By means of this study, you should feel happier and more relaxed after decluttering and organising.
